Having a playlist of favorite tunes, movies or podcasts is a great source of entertainment. But there’s another playlist that can make or break our effectiveness as business leaders. It’s the playlist in your head.
As things happen around you and to you, what tapes get played? What do you hear as reminders of prior failures, reminders, or other discouragements?
Getting the negative messages and limiting beliefs out of our heads can be the first step toward a better presence as a leader.
We all have a playlist that is running in the background that acts as a ceiling on our leadership effectiveness. Your listeners may feel they can’t retain or engage their people. Maybe they feel burnout or that their team is overwhelmed by the pace of change. Delegating or trusting a team to deliver might be challenging. The impact of the pandemic and the start of the 4th Industrial Revolution has been so far-reaching that every leader has struggled in some way in the face of massive disruption.
Join me as I visit with Susan Drumm. Susan has designed a powerful message around using the right kind of music (literally) to replace the negative thoughts we might otherwise rely upon.
Susan will share a process to uncover the playlist impacting leadership, explain how music can interrupt this playlist, and then share how to leverage music to be a better leader.
The Leader’s Playlist isn’t just a metaphor. Music has the ability to help make change stick, by priming the neurological landscape to form new neural pathways in a faster, more efficient way. Music helps you shift your emotional state, and Susan will show you how to leverage music’s impact on the brain to be a more powerful leader. Your listeners will learn more about this unique approach and the tools to create a new, more powerful playlist that will transform their leadership and their life.
